Come and Sing for Syrians – Mozart Requiem, 27 January, with David Wordsworth

After the success of last year’s Come and Sing, we are thrilled to announce that David Wordsworth has agreed to join forces with Singing for Syrians and the Hands Up Foundation once again. To help ward off the January blues, we will be putting on a Come and Sing in London (at Holy Trinity, Prince Consort Road, just behind the Royal Albert Hall) on Saturday, 27th January and this time we will be singing Mozart’s ever-popular Requiem.

We would absolutely love any of you to join us for another inspiring day of singing and for your friends/family to join us in the evening.

Like last time, the running order will be roughly as follows:

10.30am-12.30pm             First Session
12.30-1.30pm                     Lunch
1.30-3.00pm                       Second Session
3.00pm                                Break
3.30-5.00pm                      Third Session
5.00pm                               Tea
6.00pm                               Informal Concert
7.00pm                               Finish

If you are interested, which we hope you are, we would ask you to:

  • buy tickets via the following link – https://billetto.co.uk/e/come-and-sing-mozart-s-requiem-tickets-225754
  • make sure that you bring your own score, specifically the BARENREITER URTEXT edition of the Mozart Requiem vocal score
  • bring a packed lunch (or the willingness to go out and buy one; I will send details of places to eat nearby in the early New Year) and a water bottle
  • wrap up warm (Holy Trinity is a large London church with no insulation – but don’t worry they do have some heating!) Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.

It would be fabulous to see any or all of you there; please feel free to extend the invitation to family, friends, choir colleagues, or fellow singers.

With many thanks and kindest regards

Lucy and the Hands Up Team
