Matthew Hough says: For Spring 2022, the programme, on an environmental theme, will revisit music originally planned to be performed in March 2020.

The numbers are Africa (with the Ensemble & Choir providing sound effects to imitate rain), Big Yellow Taxi (a Joni Mitchell gem), Let the River Run (from the film Working Girl), Moon River (the classic song from Breakfast at Tiffany’s), What a Wonderful World (the title of which immediately conjures up the voice of Louis Armstrong) and Who can sail without the wind? (a Swedish folksong, touching on the tribulations of migrants leaving their homeland).

There will be more to enjoy from Jill’s Melodic Choral Warm-Ups, as well as the customary camaraderie and bonhomie associated with gatherings of the Ensemble.
