The Jazz Ensemble will start online sessions for the first time in September.

The aim will to be to see each other again on Monday evenings for virtual music-making from the safety and privacy of our own homes or offices. Repertoire will be chosen to reflect the challenging circumstances, possibly with some unison numbers (or private harmonising from afar), and looking at more straightforward SATB numbers too.

On Monday 21 September at 6pm, there will be the opportunity to meet for a catch-up and some sharing of ideas about the term ahead.

AUTUMN 2020: Due to the challenging circumstances, there will be no auditions for Jazz Ensemble for the Autumn intake. Please contact the Membership Coordinator to indicate interest for future terms.

Auditions are necessary for entry to the two smaller Addison Singers groups, the Jazz Ensemble and the Chamber Choir, in order to achieve a good blend and balance of voices, and to ensure that singers have the musicianship and sight-reading skills to be able to perform the chosen repertoire to a high standard.

Spring 2021: due to the ongoing restrictions, there will be no auditions for Jazz Ensemble for the Spring intake. Please contact the Membership Coordinator to indicate interest for future terms.

Successful applicants are asked to commit themselves for a minimum of a term to include the concert or ideally for longer and to participate in at least 75% of the rehearsals.
