There’s nothing that warms the heart more than seeing sunshine break through after a long cold winter. Likewise our selection of songs in Something like Summerwill leave you with a warm glow and a smile on your face. You don’t need to be a lover of jazz to recognise these standards: Summertime, Heat wave, On the Sunny Side of the Street, Come Rain or Shine and Skylark.
Throw in some Beatles, Kinks, Van Morrison, Sam Cooke and Katy Perry and we are cooking! Here Comes the Sun, Sunny Afternoon, Moondance, A Change is Gonna Come, Roar and more…
Our 45 member women’s jazz choir and our mixed ensemble are accompanied by a trio of hot jazz musicians. If you need cooling down, a refreshing Pimms will be available at interval. Come along and check us out, it is family friendly and a lot of fun and we welcome new members each term.
