Sing, Sing, Sing! 

Sunday 8 September 2019, 2pm to 5.30pm, at Linden House, Upper Mall, W6

Join us for an exciting afternoon of three vocal workshops, each led by a different type of professional vocal / choral coach. From jazz to classical, we’ve got something for all tastes! Open to the public, ALL WELCOME. The cost is £15 per person and only £10 to Under 30’s. Participants will be able to join in all three workshops (approximately 45 minutes each), and the day will end with a rousing communal sing.

The workshop leaders:

Pete Churchill is a much loved and highly regarded figure in the jazz world, being Professor of Jazz Studies at the Royal Academy of Music and regularly running Singing Workshops around the world, including the popular Guildhall Jazz Summer School. Nicola Wydenbach is a Vocal Coach and professional singer who specialises in workshops promoting wellbeing through singing. She is Musical Director of two choirs: Mind & Soul Choir and Aviva Choir, as well as running regular workshops in a variety of genres to help people with Parkinson’s, mental health issues and homeless people. http://www.nicolawydenbach.com/md-vocal-coach/

The Chelys Consort of Viols is a group of five who have come to prominence in their beautiful renderings of early music, and are particularly keen teachers, working with groups of singers and using the viols to facilitate harmonisation between singers. Their workshop is likely to be focussed on tuning, listening, and singing as a group.
