Addison Singers – Carols for Choir & Audience
9 December, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Addison Oratorio and Chamber Choirs combine to celebrate Christmas at St Michael & All Angels on December 9th. As well as Carols for choirs and the audience, the programme includes ‘Ave Rex‘, an exciting sequence of Carols that set medieval texts by the Welsh composer William Mathias, the world premiere of a new piece especially written especially for the Chamber Choir by Martin Butler, and two pieces by Master of the Queen‘s Music Judith Weir (one of them also including audience participation), who we are honoured to have as featured composer this year. All that and some popular carols by Harold Darke, Hector Berlioz and Peter Cornelius, should make a memorable start to the Christmas season.
Tickets in advance £12, concessions £10, under 16’s £3 (all + booking fee)
or via a choir member (no booking fee).
