End of year Seasonal Celebration of Music and Readings event

To mark the season, and the ending of this difficult year, we staged a Zoom event for singers from all our classes and choirs – and their family and friends.  Over 150 people zoomed in for the event to sing along to carols ranging from the traditional from King’s College, to the Albert Hall, and even a Yorkshire church hall!
Matthew Hough treated us to two super piano pieces performed live, but it was the readings which made this memorable event unique. These too ranged from the traditional to the slightly wacky – but it was the very moving These are the Hands by Michael Rosen (read by Bunny Hoover) which I found particularly moving, being a 60th anniversary tribute to the NHS workers.
Thank you to Matthew for compiling such an appropriate programme, and to all the people who read and otherwise contributed to such a fitting experience to end our year.

See below a mosaic photo of our esteemed readers and some of our participants.

Have missed you all this last few months, but my computer skills are somewhat lacking. So I have been less than entrhusiastic about joining the mob on line.
However, I shall endeavour to have a go next term.

Hats off to all of you who have enabled the choir to continue, albeit in modified form.
I hope you have a reasonable Christmas, and stay well to make more music again next year

    Fond thoughts, from Belle
